For faithful Liverpool Football Club fans, Jamie Carragher represents everything that is great about a top professional footballer, prompting the Anfield ground's "Kop" to sing 'we all dream of a team of Carraghers' during his appearances on the pitch.

Jamie was Liverpool's vice-captain for 10 years, and is the club's second-longest ever serving player, making 737 appearances. He also holds the record for the most appearances for Liverpool in European competitions, achieving 150. While he was at Liverpool FC, the team won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Cup, two UEFA Super Cups, two FA Cups and three League Cups!

Jamie also played regularly for England and has 38 international caps to his name. He represented England at the 2004 European Championship and the 2006 FIFA World Cup, before announcing his retirement from international football in 2007. He did, however, temporarily come out of retirement in order to represent England at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. On 19 May 2013, Carragher played his 737th and final game for Liverpool in a 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers.

Jamie is now a football analyst for Sky Sports, providing insight, thoughtful opinion and expert coverage of matches played by teams from the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Capital One Cup and UEFA Euro 2016. He also appears alongside Gary Neville and Ed Chamberlin in Sky Sport's Monday Night Football throughout the season, as well as travelling the length and breadth of the country to give analysis on Super Sunday fixtures. He is also an occasional sports columnist for the Daily Mail.

Jamie's autobiography, Carra, was released in 2008.
