Dion Dublin is a former centre-back and centre-forward from Leicester where he spent his youth career playing for teams around the Leicestershire area. He started his professional career at Norwich City, before joining Cambridge United who he helped gain promotion to the Second Division. He scored on his Man United debut, won four England caps and was the joint-top scorer in the Premier League while at Aston Villa in the 1997/98 season.

Since retiring from professional football in 2008, Dion has built a successful media career as a football pundit for BBC TV and Radio, Sky Sports, and Premier League TV. He appears regularly on BBC TV Football Focus, Final Score, and Match of the Day. He has also appeared as a regular pundit and commentator for major global competitions, notably; UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 in France and most recently the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Dion made his debut as a presenter on hit daytime TV show Homes Under the Hammer in April 2015, where he continues to get rave reviews.

Aside from his love of football, Dion is extremely passionate about his music. As well as managing the band, “The Establishment”, Dion has invented a unique musical instrument called The Dube – a percussion instrument which has been endorsed by Courtney Pine, seen at The London Jazz Festival and has been used by bands such as Feeder and The Maccabees. Dion is also a talented corporate speaker employed for a broad variety of events.

In 2021, Dion was part of the Celebrity MasterChef line up, and finished fourth! In the same year he was appointed to the Cambridge United Board in an active role to create more success for the club he once played for.
