Conor Woodman is a respected journalist and reporter on global financial and social issues. He has written and reported from the four corners of the globe on all manner of pertinent issues, from gangs and organised crime to slavery and diamond smuggling.

Conor's experience with some of the most poverty-stricken people in the world informs his reports about the widening gap between rich the poor, and has moved him to become actively involved in fairer global social and business practices. His work as a radio and television presenter has taken him around the globe, reporting for such programmes as BBC Radio 4's From Our Own Correspondent.

With a number of books to his name, Conor has been listed for the Orwell Prize several times. His books have been acclaimed by both critics and the public. His first volume of work, the Adventure Capitalist, lead to one of his most successful television productions: Around the World In 80 Trades, a four part series for Channel 4. From 2012 until 2014, he was the TV presenter for the National Geographic Channel's series Scam City, which looked at the darker side of the global tourist industry and, also in 2014, he completed his first feature length documentary film True Appaloosa.

In October 2015, Conor's dramatic short film Jester premiered at the Sunscreen West Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Conor is a popular host at corporate events. He possesses a skill for empathy that allows him to tailor his talks to different audiences whilst still conveying the message that trade and enterprise are the fundamental pursuits that connect us as human beings. He uses examples from trading camels in Africa to surfboards in Mexico to show us that making a profit is a universal concept but does not have to be one that is inexorably driven by greed.

Conor's Motivational Talks centre on "How to reinvent yourself and do what you want to do". His message is based on a fundamental remit that it's never too late to follow your dreams and do what you want to do while still being fair to your fellow man.
