Carrie is probably best known for her work as a judge and vocal coach on BBC1’s Fame Academy. Carrie started her career as a dancer on Top of The Pops and represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest!

Artists she has coached include: Take That, The Spice Girls, Demi Lovato, The Saturdays, Marvin Humes, Gwyneth Paltrow, Will Young and Robbie Williams whilst Carrie has also fixed, arranged and conducted choirs for The Queen, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, The Royal Variety Show, The BBC Music Awards, The Commonwealth Games, Paloma Faith, Tom Jones and many others.

A leading TV presenter on shows such as The One Show and Songs of Praise, Carrie has also appeared as a judge on a wide variety of musical talent shows. She also has a number of awards to her name including the BASCA 2008 award for Services to the Music Industry, MOBO for Best Gospel Act 1998 and a BAFTA in 2013 for BBC1’s Glee Club.

Carrie co-leads the Winston Churchill Award for public speaking and coaches/judges each year. Carrie is one of the UK’s top public speakers, speaking at over 50 events each year. She has spoken at events throughout the world from The House of Lords, Downing Street and Party Conferences to Secondary Schools and Parent Meetings, Business Colleges, hospitals and World Health Seminars. She has from worked alongside Nobel Peace Prize winners to everyday Mums on Mumsnet!

What maybe less known about Carrie is that she is a keen campaigner for change in our healthcare and education systems and for the celebration of neuro-diversity.

Carrie has Crohn’s Disease and cares for four children all with special needs: three birth and one adopted. She sits on the UK’s largest Transforming Care Panel representing Mental Health and Learning Disability and is Patient Lead for the College of Medicine. She has spoken at The House of Lords, Downing Street , Party Conferences , Schools, Universities and many of the Royal Colleges and over 100 All Women events.
