Amy has a long and successful track record as a leader and collaborator in the cultural and creative industries. She presents the Sunday afternoon show on BBC Radio 6 Music with a heady mix of new music and old favourites, Amy’s infectious passion for music radiates across the airwaves and provides a perfect ending to the weekend.

A leading figure in the LGBTQ+ community, Amy penned her first book in 2017 From Prejudice to Pride: A History of the LGBTQ+ Movement which was published by Hachette in 2017 and is the first of its kind. The book has garnered a plethora of award nominations including the 2018 ALCS Educational Writers’ Award.

Amy is also the co-founder of the Olivier Award winning arts company and club night Duckie, and has hosted the club every Saturday at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern for 21 years. She also DJs at various club nights across the capital.

She served as Mayoress of Camden in 2010-2011, and spent her year highlighting the history and culture of live music and nightlife in the borough. She is a well known and respected advocate for night time economy and culture. Her work with the RVT led to Amy co-founding the RVT Future, a voluntary LGBT+ community group campaigning to preserve the iconic venue.

As a result of her successful track record as a leader and collaborator in the cultural and creative industries, Amy is London’s first Night Czar, working extensively with the Mayor’s office to help boost London’s flourishing cultural scene.
