Tom Allen is a comedian, writer and actor. Since first winning So You Think You Are Funny Tom has honed his unique style of sharp, acerbic wit and camp, riotous storytelling by performing to audiences all over the UK and around the world. He was the support act to Sarah Millican on her sold out tour of Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
Tom’s show Both Worlds won such praise at the Edinburgh Fringe that he brought it to the Soho Theatre to great acclaim he has performed at Montreal’s Just For Laughs as well as Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne Comedy Festivals and has supported Reggie Watts and Eugene Mirman in the US.
On Television he has made appearances on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Comedy Central’s The Comedy Store Presents and the John Bishop Show as well as Channel 4’s Comedy Gala at the O2.
Tom has written articles for The Scotsman, The Independent, The Lady and The Guardian and contributed material to The Now Show and Mock the Week whilst Attitude Magazine called him a gay role model. He has appeared as an actor in a number of TV roles alongside the likes of Joanna Lumley, Mark Gatiss and Juila Davies as well as John Malkovich in the film Colour Me Kubrick and Starter for Ten with James McEvoy.
