As a sporting inspiration, Tessa’s experience in athletics and competition make her the ideal public speaking candidate. The former British javelin gold medallist has competed at an impressive 6 Olympic games and her decorated and successful career earned her a CBE in 2004, after achieving an MBE in 1985 and OBE in 1998 for her services to sport.
Since retiring from competition after also winning 3 Commonwealth gold medals, Tessa has gained a vast amount of experience behind the scenes of sport. From 1999 through to 2005 Sanderson served as the Vice Chairman for Sport England, and more recently was an ambassador for Team GB for the 2012 London Olympics.
