Equally popular at Comedy Clubs, Festivals and the After-dinner and Cabaret circuits, Simon Evans excels in routines that are adult in the best sense of the word. With an acerbic, sometimes caustic wit, he revels in his ironic sense of urbane superiority over most of the world, taking an uncompromising look at life, organisations and people.
TV appearances include Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), the Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live (BBC Three), Live at the Apollo (BBC1) and Stand Up for the Week (Channel 4). In 2010-2011, he toured across the UK with his show Fringe Magnet, following this in 2012-2013 with Friendly Fire. Simon's most recent show, Leashed, was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2013.
Simon is a familiar voice on BBC Radio 4, as a regular on The News Quiz and other panel shows. He is highly respected by his peers, writing for Dara O Briain, Sean Lock, Jimmy Carr, Marcus Brigstocke and Lee Mack, among others.
Prior to entering the world of comedy, Simon's previous skills included juggling and writing erotic fiction!!
