First capped for Scotland just a month after his 21st birthday (January 1986), Scott Hastings became a rugby force to be reckoned with for more than a decade, playing in 10 of Scotland’s 14 World Cup games in 1987, 1991 and 1995. In addition, he played in 9 of the 11 games with the British and Irish Lions on their winning tour of Australia in 1989, and in 1993, he Captained the Barbarians against the All Blacks.
After retiring from professional rugby in 1999, Scott became a main match commentator on Scottish Television’s Rugby Roundup programme. He covered his first International match between Scotland and the Barbarians in May 2001 for Channel 5. He also joined ITV’s commentary team for the 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011 Rugby World Cups.
Scott is a dynamic speaker who uses PowerPoint presentations and other A-V technology to help highlight his work. Humour too (where appropriate) is a regular feature of Scott's speeches and this helps put the audience in a relaxed frame of mind. He is also happy to mingle with his audience, always giving 100% commitment on a personal level.
Scott is an ideal choice for Awards Hosting, Motivational Speeches, and for Golf Days. Please contact a Prime Performers Booking Agent on 020 7251 8222 to discuss your requirements, or fill out the booking form at our website.
