Romesh Ranganathan is a British stand-up comedian and actor of Sri Lankan descent. He began in earnest as a comedian in 2010, after leaving his job as a maths teacher, and since then has made numerous appearances as a stand-up artist and guest on TV panel shows, including Play To The Whistle, Have I Got News For You and Mock The Week. He has also been a regular panellist on The Apprentice: You're Fired.
In addition, Romesh appeared on The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, during which he presented his homemade vegan chocolate brownies!
Romesh has a taste for travel and in 2015 presented a series for BBC3 called Asian Provocateur, in which he travelled to Sri Lanka to explore his ancestral homeland. In the same year, he appeared in Josh Widdicombe's sitcom, Josh. 2016 was an even busier year for Romesh. He co-presented It's Not Rocket Science, alongside Rachel Riley and Ben Miller, performed on Comedy Central's The Comedy Store, and, in addition, his debut hour show Rom Com won the title of Best Show at The Leicester Comedy Festival.
