A former prison Governor, Robbie Glen is one of the finest UK after dinner speakers you’re ever likely to hear. With hilarious tales of his "time inside", a dry Scottish wit and brilliant timing, Robbie is a man for any occasion.
During his career in the prison service, Robbie was Governor of Castle Huntly Young Offenders Institution and of Dungavel Prison, as well as Deputy and Acting Governor of Barlinnie Prison, Glasgow, and Governor of Cornton Vale, Scotland’s only all-female prison. He retired from the Scottish Prison Service in 1996.
Though being a Prison Governor is obviously a serious business, Robbie's timing and an ability to read an audience blends like the finest of Scotch malts to make a perfect After-dinner event that always goes down well with audiences. Making people laugh comes naturally to Robbie and it's why he's long been a favourite on the After-dinner circuit….but then, Robbie has always been able to hold a captive audience!
