English stage and screen actor Patrick Mower came to prominence in the 1970s and has been busy ever since, making films and television series in Britain, America and further afield. He is currently best known in the UK as the character Rodney Blackstock in ITV1's soap opera Emmerdale.
Patrick initially found fame in the spy series Callan in the early 1970s, going on to appear as DCI Tom Haggerty in Special Branch alongside George Sewell, and as Detective Superintendant Steve Hackett in the police series Target.
Other television roles include Minder, Bergerac , UFO, Space 1999, The Sweeney, Tales Of The Unexpected, and Hammer House Of Mystery And Suspense. He was also a regular panellist on the murder-mystery panel game Whodunnit?.
Patrick has also been a prolific actor on the big screen, appearing in many films, including The Devil Rides Out, Cry Of The Banshee, Black Beauty, To Catch A Spy, The Devil's Advocate, Escape from El Diablo and Monella. He also featured in one of the last Carry On films, Carry On England.
