Natasha Kaplinsky is a newsreader and television presenter, best known for her roles as a newsreader on Sky News, BBC News, Channel 5 and, more recently, ITV News. Before becoming one of the anchors for the ITN network, she was the 'Face of Five', anchoring the channel's main evening news programme.
Natasha joined Channel 5 from the BBC where, as co-host of the 6 O'Clock News, she was one of the corporation's best-known faces. She joined the BBC in November 2002 as co-host (with Dermot Murnaghan) of Breakfast, a daily three-hour live show combining news, current affairs and lighter items. Natasha developed a reputation for incisive interviewing with a gentle touch where necessary.
While news remains her first love, Natasha has demonstrated other skills on television! In 2004, she took part in a new peak-time BBC Saturday night programme called Strictly Come Dancing…and went on to become the first winner of what turned into something of a veritable TV institution. She took part again in most of the second series - though this time as co-presenter with Bruce Forsyth - and in Summer 2005 hosted a one-off special, Strictly African Dancing, as part of the BBC's Africa Lives season.
Whilst at the BBC, Natasha also hosted New Year Live, and joined Terry Wogan to co-present Making Your Mind Up (the show which decided the UK's contestant for the Eurovision Song Contest) and Children In Need, all for BBC1. Other appearances have included the Royal Variety Show, Have I Got News For You, The Kumars at No 42, co-presenting the final of BBC2's Restoration with Griff Rhys Jones, and guesting in several episodes of the BBC comedy My Hero.
In 2013, Natasha also hosted a one-off documentary alongside Mark Williams-Thomas for ITV called On the Run; she also teamed up with Mark for another one-off ITV documentary entitled Missing: Without Trace, where they attempted to reunite two families with missing family members. Also in 2013, Natasha presented The People's Medal, a documentary about The Queen's Birthday Honours List. In 2014, she appeared on ITV's Let's Do Lunch with Gino & Mel, and in 2015 was a contestant alongside Dermot Murnaghan on an episode of Pointless Celebrities.

“Many thanks once again for another exemplary and professional show from Natasha…Not only was the client very happy again, several of the sponsors and winners were also extremely complimentary and I am certain that Natasha’s work on stage greatly added to their enjoyment of the evening. Just as importantly, from our perspective, she was a pleasure to work with as always – this was an especially complicated show this year on a very tight schedule and it is a great joy to have a presenter as efficient, professional and calm as Natasha. ”
