Matt started out as a presenter and producer in BBC newsrooms, moving up to presenting BBC1’s flagship consumer programmes Watchdog, and then Rogue Traders, which is now part of Watchdog.
Matt's work on Rogue Traders led to Scambusters, which took the Rogue Traders idea overseas, and then Rogue Restaurants. Other TV work includes The Secret Tourist, Brassed Off Britain, Fat Nation, Fake Britain, Food Inspectors, You've Been Scammed and Keeping Britain Safe 24/7. A second series of the daytime BBC series The Housing Enforcers, in which Matt joined the ranks of Britain's housing officers, is currently in production..
Meanwhile, Matt continues to present Watchdog with his old sparring partner Anne Robinson, and is also a key member of BBC's The One Show team, reporting regularly from across the country and presenting from the sofa when needed.
