Matt Richardson is an award-winning stand-up comedian and TV and Radio presenter.
Matt began doing stand up in 2009 at the tender age of 18. He went on to appear in the finals of So You Think You're Funny and The Chortle Student Comedian Of The Year the following year. His first solo show, Hometown Hero, won Best New Show at the 2012 Leicester Comedy Festival. Matt’s other awards include New Act Of The Year at The Newbury and Bath Comedy Festivals.
In 2013, Matt replaced Olly Murs as co-presenter of the ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor with Caroline Flack, airing immediately after the main ITV show hosted by Dermot O'Leary. During the filming of the show, he co-wrote the comedy song Ex Facto Ring with Flightside vocalist Sarah Eaglesfield, which was released as a bonus track through Suddenvibe Records.
Matt has also been a regular panellist and presenter on Channel 5’s Big Brother spin-off show Big Brothers Bit On The Side, plus the ITV2 panel show Viral Tap, and has made guest appearances on many other popular shows, including Sweat The Small Stuff, Sunday Brunch, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Celebrity Juice, The Feeling Nuts Comedy Night, Up Late With Rylan and It's Not Me, It's You.
In 2016, he became a familiar voice on the airwaves as the Drive Time presenter on the radio station Virgin Radio UK.
