An acknowledged expert on Formula One (F1), Mark Gallagher plies his talents at the fasted position in the lucrative racing car world, both as a media commentator and respected businessman. He is in regular contact with the world’s top drivers and team owners and is in a unique position to provide first-hand accounts of what it takes to be a world class competitor in what is one of the most glamorous sporting sectors.
Mark has spent over 30 years working at a senior executive level within the racing car industry. He is currently Managing Director of CMS Motor Sport Ltd and co-owner of Status Grand Prix, and has also worked for Jordan Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing and Cosworth, dealing with famous drivers such as Michael Schumacher, David Coulthard and Ayrton Senna.
Mark began working as a journalist and broadcaster for Formula One in 1987 and later became a media consultant for major F1 sponsors. He joined Eddie Jordan’s fledgling F1 team for its debut season in 1991, returning to the team in 1995 when he became head of marketing. He joined Jaguar Racing in 2004 and in 2009, took over the running of the Cosworth F1 engine business. As a commentator, Mark has frequently appeared on Sky News and has contributed to various other channels, such as BBC and Al Jazeera News.
Since 2005, Mark has co-owned his own racing team, Status Grand Prix.
