One of the UK's best loved comedians, with a stand up routine that creates telling comedy situations out of everyday life experiences, John Bishop has become an equally well respected and popular after dinner speaker.
A keen footballer, John played for non-league teams Hyde and Southport prior to becoming a stand-up comedian. After making his TV debut on The Panel, John went on to achieve major success in Mock the Week, A League of Their Own, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and John Bishop’s Britain, amongst other TV shows. Along the way, John has garnered a number of prestigious awards, such as Best Male Comedy Breakthrough Artist (British Comedy Awards 2010).
He has also appeared in the E4 teen drama Skins and in the Ken Loach film Route Irish.
A dedicated charity fund raiser, John completed a staggering 290 mile triathlon from Paris to London in 2012 for Sport Relief, raising an incredible £3.4 million.
John makes the perfect candidate for every public speaking Event. To book him for your Event, contact a Prime Performers Booking Agent via the online booking enquiry form or alternatively call 020 7251 8222.
Just wanted to confirm how happy we were with John at our Private Company Dinner celebrating our 50 years in business. John happily posed for photos with 2 guests at a time and was also very obliging and signed several items on request. He was very pleasant, an honestly 'nice' guy and he mingled with us all for pre dinner drinks. When he took to the stage, the atmosphere changed and we laughed so much that I really don't know where the time went.
Just a quick email to sing John's praises - he was fantastic and the crowd loved him! He was an absolute pleasure and worth every penny. Thank you for all your assistance in securing the booking, and I look forward to working with you for our future events.
