Shane Williams

Shane Williams

  • Former Welsh International Rugby Union Player
  • Rugby After Dinner Speaker
  • Experienced Presenter & Motivational Speaker

Shane Williams was one of the best wingers in world rugby.

The man once told he was “too small to play rugby” has become one of Wales’ all-time greats and the country’s most capped winger. By the time he bowed out of international rugby, Shane had 87 caps to his name, plus several Test appearances for the British & Irish Lions. He is the record try scorer for Wales, the third most prolific scorer in the history of the game. Being voted the IRB Player of the Year in 2008 is just one of his accolades.

Shane Williams is renowned for his speed, side-step and runs, enjoying a long spell for the Ospreys before joining Mitsubishi Dynaboars in Japan as player-coach.

He retired from international rugby in 2012 and domestically at the beginning of 2015 to take on more of a role within the media. Shane will join ITV as part of their commentary team for this year’s Rugby World Cup.

Shane Williams has vast experience of presenting, co-commentating and summarising for TV and radio. His outstanding career achievements, his global playing success and his personable, lively character makes him a well-respected media personality and popular speaker at any event.

Shane is the ideal choice for After Dinner Speaking, Rugby Club Dinners, Sporting Clubs and Conferences. Please contact a Prime Performers Booking Agent on 020 3500 3331 to discuss your requirements.
