Mary Nightingale is an newsreader and television presenter, best known for her roles anchoring ITV1's Evening News and News at Ten. She has also presented factual programmes such as The Girl Who Would Be Queen, The Year Of Bad Weather and Reward, and the daytime cookery series Britain's Best Dish.

Mary began her career in journalism as a presenter and writer on World Business Satellite for TV Tokyo. She went on to work for BBC World's World Business Report as a presenter and writer, covering economic and corporate news. She also worked for Reuters Financial Television as a presenter on the channel's Early Morning Financial Programme.

Other TV work includes Carlton Country, The Holiday Programme, After 5, Ski Sunday, London Tonight, London Today, Wish You Were Here, The Really Good Food Show, Holidays Undercover, Diana - A Service Of Thanksgiving, The Royal Wedding, The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and William and Kate: The South Seas Tour.

Mary is patron of a number of charities, including the Rainbow Trust, The Willow Foundation, Mariposa Trust and Action For Children. She is also an Ambassador for The Prince's Trust.

In 2002 and 2004, Mary won a TRIC Award in the category Newscaster Of The Year.
