Glenn McCrory is a retired British professional boxer who can count the IBF version of the cruiserweight world championship amongst the accolades of his long and distinguished career. Since retiring from the ring, he has become a television commentator and occasional actor on both stage and TV. He is particularly well known for his role as the long time sporting partner of Ian Darke on Sky Television.
Glenn's professional boxing debut was in February 1984 when, aged just 19, he scored a First Round knock-out against Barry Ellis. Over the next 15 months, he fought a further 12 times, winning on each occasion, before suffering his first defeat against John Westgarth in September 1985.
Glenn has fought a number of big names in the world of boxing during his career, including World Champion Lennox Lewis. He retired from professional boxing in 1993 after losing over 12 rounds to reigning champion Alfred Cole in Russia. His career boasts a record of won 30, lost 8, drawn 1.
