Fru Hazlitt is a businesswoman with many years experience in the media sector. A former Yahoo and Virgin Radio senior executive, in 2009 she became Managing Director of Commercial, Online and Interactive at ITV, responsible for all broadcast revenues across the group; she also helped set up Pay TV.
In the five years that Fru was MD of ITV Online, pay and interactive revenues grew from £50 million to £150 million annually, and profits surged from £14 million to £90 million.
Fru was educated at Downe House School and London University and subsequently spent two years at Virgin Radio and the six years at Yahoo, firstly, as European Sales Director and then as Managing Director of Yahoo UK and Ireland. She was also an Executive of GCap Media plc, the largest commercial radio company in the UK, which was sold to Global Radio in the summer of 2008.
In addition, Fru has been a non-executive board director of Betfair, The Rare Tea Company, and a Governor of Downe House School and Chair of the Princes Trust Women’s Leadership Group. She is a dedicated runner, having run nine marathons, and is also is a Fulham season ticket holder!
