David was a successful 1500 and 5000 metre runner in the 70’s and 80’s and was awarded an OBE in 1998 for his services to athletics. On retirement, David took up the role as Chief Executive of UK Athletics until resigning in 2007. David is regularly asked to speak at corporate events, giving keynote presentations, performance workshops and management coaching. He provides a unique insight into building and developing high performance teams in small and large organisations, developing a business where sponsorship revenue is a major income stream, growing relationships with government and industry and media management.
