Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson is one of Britain’s greatest Paralympic athletes. She competed in five Paralympic Games, winning 11 Gold Medals, and also won the London Wheelchair Marathon a total of six times. She is acknowledged as one of the most gifted and courageous sportswomen of her generation.
Since retiring from the sports field, Tanni has worked as a consultant for the 2012 Olympic Games, a Laureus Sport for Good Trustee, a Transport for London board member and an International Inspiration Ambassador for UNICEF.
In 2005, she was made a Dame for her services to sport, and in 2010 she was elevated to the House of Lords, where she sits on the crossbenches, bringing a wealth of experience and authority to the House in the areas of sports, disability, health and youth development.
She also disseminates her skills and experience through highly entertaining Motivational Talks. Themes include: Achieving your Goals; Overcoming Adversity; Teamwork; The Power of Sport to Effect Social Change; Diversity; and, Women in Leadership. A very strong communicator, Tanni is superb at motivating and inspiring audiences, be it a small gathering of CEOs or a large room of employees. In everything that she does, her lively personality and down to earth humour shines through.
Tanni is the perfect choice as a Keynote, Motivational and After-dinner Speaker, as well as Awards Hosting and Conference Facilitating. Please contact a Prime Performers Booking Agent on 020 7251 8222, or via our online booking form, to discuss your requirements.
The event went really well and Tanni was fantastic. The level at which she pitched her talk was perfect and it was clear that she had an appreciation of what we did as an industry through mentioning her involvement with the infrastructure planning talks for the Olympics. Everyone at the event commented on what a great speaker she was and that it was nice that she spoke about her life as a whole rather than just her accomplishments as an athlete which I think made it even more interesting to listen to.
