EastEnders first hit our screens back in 1985 and has gone on to become one of our favourite TV programs.  The hard-hitting soap opera is renowned for tackling many sensitive social issues, earning much praise along the way. 

Actors and actresses know that getting the chance to appear in Albert Square is a huge honour, with many of the EastEnders cast going on to have highly successful acting careers.  Over the years, events surrounding the EastEnders cast have often been almost as exciting as the on screen storylines, taking up plenty of column inches.
