Chris' TV roles as a comedy actor are as diverse as Chris is talented – ranging from the hologram Rimmer in the hit series Red Dwarf (BBC2) to Gordon Brittas in The Brittas Empire (BBC1). He was also one of the principal male voice artists on the long running satirical puppet show Spitting Image. In fact, Chris has provided many voice impersonations on TV and radio shows...including the voice of Ronald Reagan in the pop song Two Tribes by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, as well as various vocalisations for other pop tracks.
Chris began his show business career as one of the original Comedy Store Gong Show performers, which led to appearances on the BBC’s David Essex Showcase and the Jasper Carrott Election Special of 1983, which gave Chris' career the kickstart it needed.
Other TV work includes Britain's Greatest Machines (National Geographic Channel), Chris Barrie's Massive Engines and Chris Barrie's Massive Machines (Discovery Channel), Petrolheads (BBC2), Blackadder (BBC1) and Grace and Favour (BBC1).
