Charlie Luxton is a renowned architectural designer and TV presenter. He has written and presented a number of TV programmes with architectural themes, including Not All Bricks & Mortar (Channel 4), Not All Houses Are Square (Channel 4), Restored to Glory (BBC2), Modern British Architects (Channel 5), Guerrilla Homes (BBC3) and Bionic Buildings (BBC3).
Charlie regularly gives lectures on the relationship between buildings and the environment, informing clients on how environmental needs can be successfully integrated with functional and aesthetic requirements….and within budget. Projects that he has been involved in span a wide range of design themes and demanding environmental targets, from an eco-tourism project in Ethiopia to environmentally sustainable urban housing in London for Toh Shimizaki Architects.
Charlie loves a challenge and recently embarked on a ten thousand mile road trip across the USA for an Art and Architecture series shown in the USA and in Europe (on Sky Arts). He has also recently completed a TV series looking at skyscrapers.
