Charles Armstrong combines business insight with his skills as an ethnographer to provide online services in an Internet world where the boundaries between technology and social/cultural issues are becoming increasingly blurred.
Charles has established several Internet-based companies, including Trampoline Systems, a business that analyses the online lives of organisations and individuals (and which received Red Herring's Global 100 Award in 2009), and One Click Orgs, an electronic platform providing simple legal structures and democratic governance for virtual organisations. He is a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, and advises a variety of Internet-based ventures.
Prior to Trampoline, Charles founded Circus, a think tank aimed at developing electronic media social projects. This pioneering work led to the development of the educational SSE Learning Web, a forerunner to social networking.
He contributed the chapter on Emergent Democracy for the collection "Open Government" published by O'Reilly in March 2010.
Charles is a thought provoking business speaker on social media and other online phenomena that increasingly impact on our lives. Please contact Prime Performers via the online booking enquiry form or alternatively call 020 7251 8222 to discuss your requirements.
