Ellie Taylor
Ellie is a girl you may recognise as the presenter on Snog, Marry or Avoid? Not only a brilliant, witty and amusing presenter; Ellie has since 2010 been a stand-up comedian. Appearing at the Edinburgh fringe festival to rave reviews for the first time in 2014, Ellie is a breath of fresh air on the comedy circuit. Drawing on her Essex girl roots, Ellie makes astute and hilarious observations delivered with infectious charm, natural wit and enthusiasm on topics from Selfies to being the face of Matalan, and moving back in with parents. Chris Martin
Chris has supported some of the biggest names on the comedy circuit, including Milton Jones, Jack Whitehall, and Russell Kane. In April 2014, Chris embarked on a five week run at the New Zealand Comedy Festival, before returning to The Edinburgh Festival for the 4th year in a row with his brand new solo hour entitled ‘Responsibilliness’. He received 4 and 5 star reviews and extremely positive press and is now embarking on his first national tour. A keen observer, Chris uses unique logic and observations to share his views on subjects as diverse as dogs, tupperware, hair and fishing! David Morgan
After just a few years on the comedy circuit David Morgan, a former Head Boy from Solihull as he proudly announces, is already wowing comedy clubs across the country with tales of dyslexic football camps and the importance of Steps routines. An avid television enthusiast, David’s love of the small screen led to him creating a popular rundown of The Eurovision Song Contest, which was included in the BBC’s Online Coverage. He is also a regular panellist on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side and an avid Tweeter, although he confesses to not always knowing how to deal with problems that are forced on him through compelling but dangerous social media tools. Rod Woodward
From supporting Russell Brand at St Davids Hall, Cardiff, to performing at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas after the weigh-in for Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Calzaghe , Rod Woodward has supported some of the greats of comedy (as well as sport!). The Edinburgh Evening news said Woodward was “in danger of overshadowing the Phoenix nights star with his disarming natural banter” when he supported Paddy McGuiness on his national tour. Described as ‘a young Dave Allen’ by Peter Kay, Rod is an excellent choice for any corporate event. With a briefing beforehand, Rod likes to personalise his after dinner speech to every event, making each performance unique and sure to engage your audience.
Paul Sinha
Thanks to The Chase, Paul Sinha has a whole new audience of fans who know him as ‘The Sinnerman’, as they watch him catch unlucky contestants out on the tea-time Quiz hosted by Bradley Walsh. Starting out as a Doctor, Paul’s route to fame came via appearances on Mastermind, The Brain of Britain, The Weakest Link and University Challenge – The Professionals. But what many viewers of The Chase don’t realise is that for well over a decade Paul has been making his name in the world of stand-up comedy. He has performed at gigs from Aberdeen to Auckland, from Sheffield to Singapore, and has eight solo shows under his belt.
