Jason Manford - Comedy and Charm

Jason Manford’s rise to success is very much a Cinderella story. In 1999 Manford was employed at the Buzz Comedy Club in Manchester collecting glasses, on one of the nights a booked performer failed to appear and Manford (at only 17) volunteered to step in and fill the gap. His performance was very well received and this set him along the path to be one of the UK’s most prominent young comedians today.

After only 6 gigs following his debut he was named The City Life North West Comedian of the Year.

This would be the first of many awards as Manford would go on to be nominated for the prestigious Perrier award in 2005. Jason has performed his award winning material in clubs throughout the UK as well as in venues as far flung as China and Singapore.

In 2007 Jason got his first major television break on Channel Four’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats where he would later go on to become one of the team captains. He has also appeared on programs like Live At The Apollo, Comedy Rocks and The World Stands Up. His most recent project is Channel Four’s reality program Show Me The Funny where 10 young comedians are given a chance to become the next big thing in stand up comedy.

Jason Manford has also released an auto-biography entitled Brung Up Proper which shares Jason’s story with the mix of humour he is renowned for.

Manford’s natural friendliness and charm make him ideal for opening, closing or hosting corporate events and award ceremonies.
