Andrew Maxwell is one of Britain's most sought after stand-up comedians. In addition to appearances in sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival, The Soho Theatre, Glastonbury, the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, and many others, he also hosts his own weekly late-night comedy live show called Fullmooners, which has included guest appearances from comics like Russell Brand, Simon Pegg, Tommy Tiernan and Ed Byrne.
TV appearances include guesting on Have I Got News For You, Celebrity Juice, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo. On radio, he has appeared on The Now Show, as well as presenting his own comedy programmes, including Andrew Maxwell's Public Enemies and Andrew Maxwell's Late Agenda (all BBC Radio 4). He is also the narrator of the MTV reality television series Ex On The Beach and has hosted the BBC3 Edinburgh Comedy Marathon series. In addition, Andrew was voted the King of Comedy on the Channel 4 reality TV show of the same name.
Awards include the if.Comedy Award for the best show at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Time Out Live Award for Best Stand-up, Loaded Magazine's Award for Best Stand-up and the Chortle Award for Best Contribution To The Live Comedy Circuit. He was also voted Best Irish Comedian by the public at the Entertainment.ie Awards ceremony.
