Troy is at the vanguard of a young generation of magicians, offering a new take on the art with a manner that is spontaneous and exciting, blending close-up magic and situational illusions. With multiple tattoos and an eclectic sense of fashion, Troy's appearance is as unconventional and dazzling as the magic tricks he is renowned for, but with all the showbiz panache of a seasoned performer.
Troy inherited his adventurous streak, and his skill as a showman, from his Jamaican father, an archaeologist, psychologist and actor! He got his first taste of magic when his father took him, aged just six, to see local magician The Great Gavari. His passion for magic was reignited in the late 90s while watching David Blaine. He studied Blaine's act intently, figuring out how to recreate the magic that had made Blaine world-famous. Troy developed his own magic act and by the age of 12 he was a member of The Young Magicians Club, the youth section of the Magic Circle. Troy went on to win Young Close Up Magician of the Year.
Troy’s first TV series launched on Channel 4 and E4 in 2014. A second series is currently in production.
Troy's engaging personality and natural ability to interact with audiences makes him a highly popular performer for all types of Events, including After Dinner Entertainment, Cabaret, Awards Hosting and International Conferences.
