Sir Terry Wogan

Terry Wogan stepped down from his daily Wake Up To Wogan show on BBC Radio 2 to which he attracted over 8 million listeners and was the most listened to breakfast presenter on radio in the UK. Terry's extensive television credits include his live chat show series Wogan that he presented three times a week for seven years on BBC 1, 8 years of BBC 1’s Points of View and 2 series of Wogan: Now and Then on UKTV Gold in which he interviewed guests from his old chat show, as well as new guests. He presented The Eurovision Song Contest for 35 years and continues to present BBC Children In Need and BBC Proms in the Park every year.

Terry’s column in The Sunday Telegraph has been voted one of the most popular in the newspaper and he has published a number of written works including two autobiographical volumes: Is It Me? (September 2000) and Mustn't Grumble (September 2006) and a diary was also published: Wogan's Twelve (October 2007). Other author credits include Where Was I?! The World According to Wogan (September 2009). Something For The Weekend (September 2013) The Little Book of Commonsense (October 2014)

In 2005 Terry was knighted. He was created a Freeman of the City Of Limerick, Ireland in 2007 and a Freeman of the City Of London in 2009. He has received numerous awards including the Sony Gold achievement Award in 2006, the Lifetime Achievement award at the TRIC Awards in March 2010 and the award for Outstanding Contribution to Broadcasting by the Broadcasting Press also in March 2010.

Terry currently presents a live weekly show, ‘Weekend Wogan’ on Sundays from 11am to 1pm, which features live music and special guests.
