Actor Mark Charnock is best known for playing Marlon Dingle ITV's Emmerdale, a role that has brought him a host of fans as well as the award for Best Dramatic Performance at The British Soap Awards 2004.
Mark's TV debut was in 1992, when he played the character of Duane in an episode of 2point4 Children. He subsequently starred alongside Derek Jacobi in the TV drama Cadfael from 1994-1997. Mark got the part of Marlon Dingle in 1996 and has been playing him ever since.
Mark is loved by British soap audiences for his portrayal of unlucky-in-love Marlon. His popularity has led to a variety of personal appearances, including cutting the ribbon at numerous store launches.
