One of the UK's best loved comedians, with a stand up routine that creates telling comedy situations out of everyday life experiences, John Bishop has become an equally well respected and popular after dinner speaker.

A keen footballer, John played for non-league teams Hyde and Southport prior to becoming a stand-up comedian. After making his TV debut on The Panel, John went on to achieve major success in Mock the Week, A League of Their Own, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and John Bishop’s Britain, amongst other TV shows. Along the way, John has garnered a number of prestigious awards, such as Best Male Comedy Breakthrough Artist (British Comedy Awards 2010).

He has also appeared in the E4 teen drama Skins and in the Ken Loach film Route Irish.

A dedicated charity fund raiser, John completed a staggering 290 mile triathlon from Paris to London in 2012 for Sport Relief, raising an incredible £3.4 million.
