Barbara Cassani

Barbara Cassani

Barbara Cassini is a highly successful businesswoman who came to prominence as the CEO of budget airline Go.

Go was founded in 1998 with a £25 million investment by British Airways and operated in one of the most innovative sectors of the airline industry: Low Cost. Originally pioneered in the USA in the 1970s, the Low Cost model only took off in Europe in the 1990s and required a whole new approach to management and costing, while implementing rapidly developing technology, such as online booking and email marketing. Barbara had previously been British Airways' General Manager in New York, and was credited with turning around the airline's flagging fortunes on the transatlantic market.

Following the sale of Go to EasyJet, Barbara was asked to chair the London 2012 Olympic bid, which she successfully guided through the first bid stage, before handing full control to Lord Coe.

With a wealth of experience and knowledge, Barbara is now in demand as a Business Speaker at conferences and other functions around the world, giving audiences a much appreciated insight into business leadership and managing change and innovation in rapidly developing environments.
