Alan Dedicoat

Alan Dedicoat

Not many people realise that Alan Dedicoat - “The Voice of the Balls” on BBC1's National Lottery programme - was actually born in Hollywood! Stardom therefore naturally beckoned – OK, this Hollywood is a village in Northamptonshire but nevertheless Alan Dedicoat has a voice big enough to announce those important numbers...numbers that, after all, could send the lucky winner State-side and turn dreams into reality!

Alan was a regular sidekick for Terry Wogan on his Wake Up To Wogan BBC Radio 2 breakfast show for many years, before Terry retired, and he continues to banter with his old friend on Weekend Wogan on Sundays, resurrecting, occasionally, the ever popular Janet & John stories. He can also be heard reading the news on Radio 2, where he gained the nickname “Deadly” Dedicoat!

Alan also takes part in the BBC's telethons, such as Children in Need, and does the voice-overs in Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One as well as Dancing with the Stars, the American version of the show.

Alan is one of the UK's best-loved Presenters and is an ideal choice for After-dinner Speaking, Awards Hosting, Facilitating, and MC'ing, with a wealth of anecdotes and experiences to draw from. He can be relied upon to make any event run smoothly.
