Men in Coats

Men in Coats

  • Unique Visual Comedy Double Act
  • Comedy, Clowning & Illusion
  • After Dinner Entertainment

Men in Coats are an explosive (and frankly absurd) double act. Mixing slapstick with wonderfully inventive visual comedy, they are a bizarre cross between Charlie Chaplin and Salvadore Dali. The Men have now entered YouTube’s Top 100, with over 17.5 million hits.

They create a cartoon world where their arms stretch the length of a London bus and where a man can shrink to the size of a small dog. With stunts that would make Bugs Bunny jealous, the Men have worn their coats all over Europe, Japan and Singapore with their act that crosses all age and language barriers.

Men In Coats was created by Michael Dow. Its unique appeal leapt onto the British Stand up Circuit in 1999 by winning Hackney Empire's New Act of the Year and an almost unheard of sell out in their first Edinburgh run.

A year and two national tours later, they went back to Edinburgh and sold out again at the much larger George Square Theatre. Since then, the show has travelled worldwide and performed in some of the biggest and most prestigious venues on the globe. A second team of performers was born in late 2005 to cope with demand and the show goes from success to success,
